Michael E. Short
Michael E.Short is originally from Monroeville, Alabama. He received his undergraduate degree in business administration (marketing) from Auburn University in 1994 and received his Masters of Education from Auburn University in 1996. Michael then received his Juris Doctorate from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 2004, where he was the Associate Director of Mediation for the Trial Advocacy Board, as well as a member of the Alabama Defense Lawyer’s Association.
Michael concentrates his practice on domestic relations/family law, municipal law, general civil litigation, and criminal law. He is the prosecutor for the City of Auburn, prosecuting cases in both Municipal Court and the Circuit Court of Lee County, Alabama. In 2007, the readers of the Opelika - Auburn News voted Michael the Best Lawyer in Lee County, Alabama.
Michael is married to Bonnie Short and they have two sons, Brooks and Harrison. In his spare time, Michael enjoys Auburn University athletics and hunting.
