Phillip E. Adams, Jr.

Mr. Adams is a native of Alexander City, Alabama. He graduated from Auburn University in 1965 and received his law degree in 1968 from the University of Alabama School of Law. He was law clerk to Associate Justice Pelham Merrill of the Alabama Supreme Court. He joined the firm in 1969 and has been managing partner since 1986. Mr. Adams is a former President of the Lee County Bar Association. He served as Opelika City Judge for 15 years. He was very active in the Alabama State Bar serving as President from 1991-92, as a member of the Board of Bar Commissioners from 1983- 1990, and the Board of Disciplinary Appeals from 2000-2008. He is a Fellow in the Alabama Law Foundation; Life Fellow in the American Bar Foundation; Member of the House of Delegates, American Bar Association, from 1991-95 as well as a member of the Section of Dispute Resolution; Alabama Defense Lawyers Association; Alabama Academy of Attorney Mediators; and, a Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America.

Patrick C. Davidson

Rick Davidson is a native of Auburn, Alabama. Growing up in Auburn, Rick attended the Auburn City Schools and graduated from Auburn High School. Rick later graduated from Auburn University in 1990. Rick earned his law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1994 and was admitted to the Alabama State Bar that same year. After law school, Rick began practicing law with Sasser & Littleton in Montgomery, Alabama where he worked until 1997. Rick’s practice was primarily in the areas of banking law and insurance defense litigation, including defending automobile accident litigation, manufactured home litigation, and termite litigation. In 1997, Rick moved back to Auburn and joined the Walker, Hill, Adams, Umbach, Meadows & Walton firm and continued practicing law there until it evolved into the present firm in 2002. Rick has proudly been a partner at Adams, Umbach, Davidson & White since its inception in 2002. Matthew W. White

Matt White is a native of Montgomery, Alabama. He graduated from Auburn in 1990 with a degree in Business Administration with a specialty in Marketing. Matt earned his law degree from Mississippi College School of Law in 1994 and was admitted to the Alabama State Bar that same year. After graduating law school Matt served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Fifth Judicial Circuit of Alabama which includes Chambers, Tallapoosa, Macon and Randolph Counties. While working as an Assistant District Attorney Matt tried many cases to verdict and gained invaluable courtroom experience. In 1999, Matt and his family moved to Auburn and joined the firm of Walker, Hill, Adams, Umbach, Meadows and Walton and began practicing general civil litigation. Matt has been a partner in the Adams, Umbach, Davidson & White firm since its inception in 2002. Michael E.Short is originally from Monroeville, Alabama. He received his undergraduate degree in business administration (marketing) from Auburn University in 1994 and received his Masters of Education from Auburn University in 1996. Paul A. Clark

Paul A Clark in partner the Auburn office.  Mr. Clark is a member of the Environmental Litigation and Products Liability and Casualty Litigation Practice Groups.  His trial and appellate experience span the full scope of these practice areas.  Mr. Clark currently serves as lead counsel for a large municipal water works board in the litigation of territorial rights to provide domestic water service.
